Why I’ve Fallen In Love with Cryptocurrency

I know the title seems much but, I haven’t actually fallen in love with money or something like that. I fell in love with the idea and the process behind cryptocurrency. I will write my journey and the lessons I’ve learned tackling cryptocurrency in the past 5 months. I won’t disclose any of my portfolios or watchlist since I don’t want to give a false sense of security to any out there who want to engage in cryptocurrency. Remember that cryptocurrency is a highly volatile asset and carries significant risk, so always do your research.

Hello! I’m Clyde. I’ve been a multimedia designer for the past 8 years ranging from banner graphics, video editing to web. So I have my fair share of technology. I started to get into cryptocurrency, specifically NFT gaming, 5 months ago and have barely touched graphics ever since, which is surprising since I also loved graphics. Still, cryptocurrency just offers a whole new experience for me that just rocked my world. That’s why I took the time to at least share my experience with anyone interested.

This article doesn’t aim to get you into cryptocurrency. I will just describe how it has been for me, and that may guide you if cryptocurrency is for you or not. It has been one of my most remarkable experiences and, I hope you learn or enjoy a thing or two with my article. I will refer cryptocurrency to crypto in this article. Let’s get started!

Highly rewarding

I will start off with one of the biggest reasons people jump their guns to get into cryptocurrency. It is clearly one of the most rewarding things to do with the vast amount of money you can earn. And I’m not just talking about some money. Millions and millions of dollars. Cryptocurrency is one of the top industries where the cash flows, if not the top. And if you’re reading this, you already have an idea why not all people are engaged with cryptocurrency. It carries a tremendous amount of risk as well, which is just as proportional. The reward may be the apparent reason for most getting into cryptocurrency. Still, I will explain why it is just a part of it for me.

Nothing is ever the same.

Do you hate your job where you just do mostly the same things over and over again? You can never experience that in crypto. Ever. Some coins may follow a trend, but they will never show you the same direction twice. I’ve always hated doing things on repeat. I always wanted something new and, most importantly, at least something to think about. You will always have to develop a new strategy every day. This may include researching new projects or coins to executing trades, and many more. There’s nothing like looking forward to each day like being in crypto. And when nothing is ever the same, you know there’s always room for growth.

Make your heart skip.

Falling in love with a person aside, I can’t imagine anything making your heart skip aside from crypto. Imagine vast amounts of money gaining or losing in an instant. That’s just your daily routine for crypto. I don’t think there’s a satisfaction closer when you get huge gains from a winning trade. Or the disappointment when you lose one. Worse, you got hacked. The thrill increases the more risk it is in the line, but I don’t advise doing that. You don’t get into crypto just to get your kicks. It is just a bonus for everything else. It’s exciting. It’s scary. And that’s why I love it.

Dealing with losses

Nothing taught me how to deal with losses harder than crypto. I could lose huge amounts of money and forget about it the second later. That’s just the way it is if you want to be in this space. For there to be winners, there have to be losers. I learned to translate that in real life by not giving a big deal when things don’t go to plan. You just know to accept your losses and plan how to gain more next time. And honestly, I still embrace it, so we remain humble and don’t lose ourselves on the goal permanently.

It follows a system.

Fan of everything happens for a reason? Oh, you’ll love crypto. Everything in crypto follows a system to work, from its infrastructure to people putting the cash into their wallets. And people trust that system. They know the risks involved that the system may fail anytime but are confident that there will always be a way. And it’s so much better than most systems having human intervention. Because the more humans involved, the more it is prone to error or greed. This is ironic to how people view cryptocurrency as something risky when it gives you more peace of mind in other ways.

No external factors.

We always said that to do only things that are in control. And in crypto, things are always in your control. Your assets, your responsibility. If you ever lost them, you have no blame but yourself, and that’s fantastic because you know you will always have something to do about it. You don’t have to argue with unreasonable bosses. Deal with meddling co-workers. Keep guessing if you will receive your paycheck on time. Yes, you still don’t know if you will have gains in the coming months, but that’s based on your performance and not crypto’s fault. One of the most important benefits of this is it teaches you to think on your own. You don’t need to rely on other people. It lets you develop the necessary traits , including being able to analyze things and think critically.

Learner’s paradise

The knowledge and everything to be learned in crypto is just endless. It is too immense for one person to consume that you need to have at least one person beside you, so you don’t miss out on essential things. Having peers or people to consult with is crucial because you can’t put your foot on everything in the world of crypto. There is always something to learn and mind that it’s also fast. What you know now may be irrelevant tomorrow. If you love learning, then there’s no place better. Cryptocurrency is cutting-edge technology, and there’s a lot more to come.

Multiple paths to a crypto’s heart

There are a lot of ways how to succeed in cryptocurrency now. Like me, I started my path in NFT Gaming (Axie Infinity, to be exact). I dealt with losses here and there, especially early on but eventually learned how the system works and am now in a comfortable position. There is trading, investing, staking, yield farming, Defi, creating NFT’s, and so much more. There is a lot of opportunity for any capital as long as you put in the effort. I am also involved in some of the things I’ve mentioned.

You don’t need to be smart.

Some people fear crypto because you need to be smart in all of this, but it’s actually not that important. Cryptocurrency, for me, is more of an emotional discipline than knowledge collection. You don’t need to be a genius like Einstein or Elon Musk. You can make it in crypto as long as you understand the system. Keep your emotions intact. Take profits responsibly. Deal with losses maturely, and don’t be greedy. You will make more than most traders when you master your emotions and have the required discipline.

The ultimate equalizer

And saving the best for last. This is my favorite reason why I’ve really fallen in love with crypto. Crypto chooses no one. It doesn’t care if you’re rich, poor, smart, talented, old, young, any gender, or what. Opportunity is given to anyone. You can get into crypto if you’re willing, and no one’s stopping you. Not because you’re not beautiful enough, you don’t know the hiring manager or disabled somehow. And that’s one of the most beautiful things about it.

As much as how the article may seem to favor for you to get into crypto. Try to do a lot of research first and assume the risks. Don’t hop into it just because someone told you they bought a car or a house. They know what they’re doing, so they got into that position. I hope you learned something from me, a thing or two from this article.

Good luck with your journey. Cryptocurrency is one of the best opportunities to make it in life, but don’t forget that it is just a wealth vehicle. It won’t make you rich if you don’t apply the proper mindset. Crypto won’t make you rich. A proper mindset can. Don’t forget to have fun. Thank you for reading!
